CELLULAR ENERGY

At the heart of this formulation is Bioyouth™ EGT, a patented antioxidant complex obtained through multi-fermentation of two types of medicinal mushrooms. This process produces Ergothioneine (EGT) and growth factors. EGT is one of the few antioxidants that can be absorbed and transported directly into the mitochondria. There, it enhances ATP production (the essential source of cellular energy), while scavenging harmful free radicals and protecting cells from UVA damage. By slowing the onset of cellular senescence (where cells are unable to divide contributing to inflammation and ageing), EGT helps maintain a youthful, energised complexion while boosting skin density and improving skin texture.

Panax Ginseng is a potent adaptogen which we intentionally sourced from New Zealand as it contains up to 100% more active ginsenosides than standard ginseng. This supports cellular energy by stimulating ATP levels and natural hyaluronic acid synthesis to plump and revive fatigued skin.

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY

Oligopeptide-24, a bioactive peptide designed to mimic natural growth factors, works by signalling fibroblasts to increase collagen density and elastin production for stronger, smoother skin.

Carnosine, a peptide that helps the prevention of new lines and wrinkles by protecting structural proteins from glycation-related damage.

Resveratrol, a unique polyphenol extracted from Japanese Knotweed, mitigates UV-induced DNA damage and modulates cellular signalling pathways involved in ageing to protect dermal structure. It is dense with micronutrients, helping to minimise redness and has significant benefits on the visible effects of premature ageing through its strong ability to prevent cell damage. 

Black Tree Fern (Cyathea Medullaris), endemic to New Zealand, forms a natural 3D biopolymer film providing a visible tightening and lifting effect, while its polysaccharides and phenolic compounds help stabilise the skin’s extracellular matrix.

MICROBIOME

Bifidobacterium Lysate, a fermented probiotic extract that helps to restore lipid balance, reduces trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), and supports microbial diversity.

Wild-sourced active marine algae, including New Zealand Red Algae and our own Bio-Fermented Tasmanian Sea Kelp from Australia, deliver trace minerals to support barrier strength and resilience. With glycans and polysaccharides similar to hyaluronic acid, the marine algae attract and retains moisture.  

Ectoin, a naturally derived marine extremolyte amino acid, helps organisms survive in extreme conditions such as deserts and salt lakes. In skincare, it shields cellular structures from environmental stress, while binding water molecules to the skin to maintain deep, long-lasting hydration. 

New Zealand Mānuka Honey MGO 850+, known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, soothes and calms inflamed skin, while Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5) and non-comedogenic Kokum Butter reduces redness and sensitivity.

Organic, cold-pressed botanical oils – Cacay, Sea Buckthorn Berry, Buriti and Black Raspberry – nourish the skin with over 100 bioactive compounds including omegas 3, 6, 7, 9 and essential vitamins A, C and E, while supporting barrier repair, providing antioxidant protection and calming inflammation.

Rich in antioxidants, polysaccharides, and vitamins A, C, and K, Okra helps to neutralise free radicals, improve hydration, and maintain skin elasticity, while its soothing properties calm irritation and visible redness. Kawakawa is renowned for its healing properties, with bioactive compounds that can reduce inflammation and calm irritation. Together, these potent plants provide relief from sensitivity and signs of eczema.

Purslane used in Eastern medicine is a superfood with powerful wound-healing benefits. It can soothe irritated skin and activates telomerase – an enzyme that protects DNA and retrains mature cells to function more efficiently, slowing skin ageing. 

Chebula, a revered Ayurvedic powerhouse rich in vitamins C and K, holds a unique status as a cascading antioxidant, neutralising free radicals at multiple stages to provide advanced protection beyond that of conventional antioxidants.

Our in-house Bio-Fermented superfruits including Pomegranate, Blueberry, Black Chokeberry, Cranberry and Red Raspberry are rich in natural vitamins and AHAs to gently resurface the skin, removing dead cells and enhancing the bioavailability of peptides, vitamins and phytonutrients.

Bio-Fermented Papaya signal ceramide and collagen production, while its natural papaya enzymes provide daily micro-exfoliation to brighten the skin.
